Kellogg’s UK announces new sustainable pack strategy

Kellogg’s UK has announced a new sustainable packaging commitment to make its all of its packaging reusable, recyclable or compostable by the end of 2025.

Part of the cereal and snack giant’s plans are to roll out new packaging for Pringles to allow consumers to recycle the cans, as well as introducing recycle-ready cereal pouches.

From December empty Pringles cans can be sent into recycling company TerraCycle using freepost labels, with the sender rewarded with a charitable donation for each can which can be redeemed for the school, charity or non-profit of choice.

Crown commissions research into food packaging trends

Crown has partnered with the design and research agency Kinneir Dufort to understand consumer perceptions of food packaging formats and their behaviour when shopping.

The study followed UK consumers from a variety of demographics over a two-day research study where they were asked to explore the soup, vegetable, fish, ready meal and pet categories and to provide contextual insight into how consumers store, open and use food packaging.
